How to connect your domain to a website
Your website lives on a hosting platform. Your domain points visitors to it. Two DNS records usually do the whole job.
Do it in 3 steps in your dashboard

Copy the address from your website platform
Add your domain in Shopify, Lovable, Webflow, Wix or Squarespace. They give you either an IP address or a hostname — keep that tab open.

Open your domain here and choose the shortcut
Go to My domains, click Connect my domain (or Settings), then pick Point to a website (IP address) or Connect a Shopify store. Paste the value you copied and confirm the summary you are shown.

Check your site in a few minutes
Open your domain and the www version in a private window. Your platform issues the https certificate automatically, so a short certificate warning at the start is normal.
1. Get the target values from your platform
In your platform's domain settings, add your domain. It will give you either an IP address (for an A record) or a hostname (for a CNAME record).
2. Add the root record
In the DNS panel for your domain, add an A record with name @ pointing to the IP address your platform gave you. Some platforms give a CNAME for the root instead — use whatever they specify.
3. Add the www record
Add a CNAME record with name www pointing to your platform's hostname. Then decide in the platform whether www or the root domain is the primary address; the other will redirect.
4. Let SSL provision
Once DNS resolves, your platform issues an HTTPS certificate automatically. This can take a few minutes to a couple of hours. Do not panic at a certificate warning during that window.
5. Check both addresses
Open the root domain and the www version in a private window. Both should load your site over https.
