How to set up email after buying a domain

Registering a domain reserves the name — it does not create an inbox. You choose an email provider, then point your domain to it with MX records.

1. Pick an email provider

Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 are the common choices for UAE businesses. Zoho Mail is a cheaper option and has a free tier for a single domain.

2. Verify the domain

Your provider gives you a TXT record. Add it in the DNS panel of your domain here at BuyADomain.ae, then press verify in their dashboard. Verification usually completes within minutes.

3. Add the MX records

MX records tell the internet which server receives mail for your domain. Copy the MX records from your provider exactly, including the priority values, and remove any old MX records so mail is not split between two systems.

4. Add SPF, DKIM and DMARC

These three TXT records prove your mail is genuine and keep it out of spam folders. Your provider generates the values; you paste them into DNS.

5. Wait for propagation

DNS changes are usually live in 15–60 minutes and always within 24 hours. Send a test message from an outside address before you print the new email on anything.
